I'm somebody who's very optimistic about the future. I feel like the young children that we're raising right now are going to have the ability to completely change the world in the future.

Growing up with 7 siblings and raised by a single mom, martial arts is remotely someone's priority. However, Sensei Olivia Roney showed up in the dojo with the will and determination to train, cleaned the dojo to be able to train for free. Today, Sensei Olivia Roney is passionate and optimistic about our children's future. It was just evident to me that Martial Arts is the kind of exercise, the kind of training that, it may not make you live longer but it will give you a better life if you do it for as long as you live.

Training in college and then taking a break, and then back at it again. A story that may have been familiar but not common to us is the path that Mr. David Liban has taken. During his break from the martial arts, Mr. Liban worked on his filmmaking and produced films such as Looking For Mr. Miyagi and A Feral World. Presently he is training with Sensei Gary Swain in Denver and he is a film professor at CU Denver's College of Arts & Media. I guess my drive to studying Aikido was kind of wanting to study something that worked with refinement and efficiency. I was never going to be like the biggest or the fastest guy out there, it just occurred to me that trying to just learn how to wrestle or box in the skilled way as you can would still probably going to get your head kicked by a very large guy in England at some point.

A lot of us martial artists train with one or two styles throughout our journies however, Mr. Glenn Murphy is an exception. Mr. Glenn Murphy started training as a kid with Judo at a local army camp then followed by a multitude of disciplines such as Karate, Fencing, swordplay, and even went to Japan to become an expert in Aikido. His time with Aikido became numbered and decided to train with Systema and founded NC Systema. Mr. Murphy is a great story-teller and he tells his journey from Judo to Systema in great detail. Mr. John Molyneux is a martial arts practitioner, instructor, and the host of the Success Breeds Success Podcast. He is from the United Kingdom.

I've always been quite confident in myself. So, I go along to a Brazilian Jiujitsu class and put a white belt on, be humble, and just get on with it and have some purple belt strangle me out because there isn't any ego in the dojo  and in any style.

There are a few of us who were forced to the martial arts by our parents and eventually liked it but today's guest never liked it as a child only to find himself training as a grown man. Mr. John Molyneux started boxing during his time in the army that instilled discipline in him. Mr. Molyneux then started to train and teach Karate by accident when he found himself looking for a source of discipline after going out of the army. Episode 550 - Miss Robynn Murray


Miss Robynn Murray is a martial arts practitioner and Iraq war veteran. Her story was featured in the Academy Award-nominated documentary, Poster Girl.

Started training in Aikido when she was 14 years old, martial arts never got out of her lifestyle ever since. Miss Robynn Murray had trained with multiple disciplines such as Krav Maga, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, as well as combat grappling when she served in Iraq. Ms. Robynn Murray's time in Iraq is nothing short of interesting. However, she suffered PTSD like most of the soldiers coming from the Iraq war and her story was featured in the Academy Award-nominated documentary, Poster Girl. In this episode, Miss Robynn Murray tells in detail her personal battles with violence, her experience in Iraq, her battle with PTSD, Mental Health, and a whole LOT more.
